A wholesome church & pub Wedding in the Essex countryside | The Pig & Whistle, Chelmsford

I have such fond memories of Nicki and Julien’s Wedding day back in September! It was the ultimate, wholesome day filled with so much laughter and love.

They actually live in Hong Kong and flew over to have their family and friends with them on their special day. They hadn’t seen some of them in such a long time and you could really feel that strong love and friendship. What made it extra special is that Nicki’s Dad is a pastor and conducted their service in the church they always attended growing up in Pleshy, Chelmsford.

It was a small, intimate Wedding and just felt really really special.

After the church ceremony we used the grounds for some group photos and couple portraits and then headed to the Pig and Whistle not far from the church for their reception.

The Pig and Whistle is set in the Essex countryside of Pleshy - An intimate and cosy restaurant with so much character! It was such a perfect setting for their Wedding reception! If you didn’t know and was interested in checking out this venue, what I didn't know is that they are registered to hold wedding ceremonies there too! The most perfect venue for a cosy, small, countryside wedding in the Chelmsford, Essex area.

I really wished I had more time getting to know Nicki and Julien as they were the loveliest, down to earth couple and I really enjoyed every moment of documenting all the love & laughter throughout their day.

I feel so lucky as an Essex Wedding photographer to get the opportunity to photograph so many beautiful weddings in the most gorgeous locations. And the Essex countryside never disappoints, always guaranteed to bring the character and beauty. We really are spoilt for choice on wedding venues here!
