Bluebell photo shoots, Essex | Outdoor, Covid safe photography

So I actually drafted this post in March last year 2020 in hopes that I was going to be able to do these bluebell sessions, but unfortunately they didn’t happen due to Covid guidelines! I was so gutted as they are just so pretty and only come out for a short amount of time.

But I’m very happy to say that it’s almost that time of year again and my bluebell photo shoots will be going ahead in the Essex area with Covid safe measures in place - currently a maximum of 5 will be allowed at the photo session.

I absolutely love photographing families and children in the beautiful bluebells. What an incredibly pretty setting nature has created for us! The vibrancy of the bluey, lilacs make for a perfect backdrop for your photo shoot. Essex woodland areas are the best place to find a blanket of bluebells and are often hidden in the most magical spots.

My photo sessions are very relaxed and chilled and are all about me documenting you and your family simply having fun with the kids. I find that this is the best way to capture your families true bonds or your child’s personality. I always encourage the tickles, chases, butterfly hunting, make believe, you name it..

And of course games and laughs that are unique to you.

My bluebell photo shoots in Essex are 30 minutes long which always seems to be the perfect amount of time to capture your family/children.

I don’t have any specific dates yet as bluebells can bloom at different times year to year. Typically they bloom mid April - late May, so what I do is keep a close eye out for when they are starting to make an appearance and then I can secure dates and times. I will have limited availability so If you’d like to pre-book and secure your place then I can add you to my bluebell list!

I have a few favourite bluebell spots in the Essex area, including Hockley, Thundersley, Benfleet and Billericay, however if you know of any other good spots closer to home then please just let me know and I’m happy to travel within 15 miles of SS7 for no additional cost.
